UFE Fury Show Recap

Yesterday was nothing short of good AMAZING.

I went to a UFE show to show some love for my trainer's daughter and all around awesome girl Ashley. This was her first figure competition and let me tell you, she worked SO hard for this. I would go to the gym and she was there, smashing the weights and kicking cardio's bootay. She stuck to her diet, even through her twentieth BIRTHDAY, which she shared with her twin sister, Alex. Thats gotta suck. No cake on your birthday!? Oh man. But it just goes to show that you will sacrifice a lot to meet your goals.

No hater was going to stop this girl. She wants to be a psychologist and trainer like me one day, so I guess you can call me her little 'prodigy.' She also hopes to get her pro card so she can compete more in the future. Props to her! I didn't get to see her during prejudging in the a.m., but this was her during prejudging:

DAMN!

Haha, she's like black from the tan but gotta get those muscles to pop out and say hello!

Around 4 p.m., I drove with a buddy named Steve from the gym who is good friends with my trainer and the COOLEST guy ever and Ashley's twin sister, Alex, who is gorgeous as ever! Showing her sisterly support, what an awesome chick!

We arrived at the university where the show was taking place and we were very excited! We waited for a little while (and took tons of pics) before heading into the auditorium. Here's a picture of Alex, my trainer's younger daughter Holly, and me:

That's me on the far left! Sorry for the quality!

When we were finally allowed in, we were just ready to see some hard bodies. It started off with a few of the boys who had some serious muscularity going on. There was this one guy who was older but he was totally shredded. He won two first place trophies but didn't win first place for overall bodybuilding and you could tell he was mad.

We endured a lot of the different categories, including women's fitness (which the girl who won 1st was one of my trainer's girls. She had a Lara Croft theme and KILLED it), women's bikini (another one of my trainer's girl took home first), women's bikini modelling, women's physique, men's bodybuilding, men's physique, and men's modelling.

When they finally had figure step out on stage our group was definitely the LOUDEST. We were screaming "ASHLEY!!!" on the top of our lungs. She looked HAWT. Here are some photos of her one stage. (I apologize in advance for the crappy quality!)

I am so proud of her! She rocked it! We also endured the awards and she got...

5th place!

I thought of course she deserved 1st but at least she placed and for her first competition, she did SO well. She cemented my love for competing and makes me want to turn 18 faster so I can get my butt on stage!

Afterwards... we said goodbye as my trainer and Ashley and the rest of the team went to go pig out at T.G.I. Friday's. Steve, Alex and I were starving so at 10 p.m. last night we went to none other than Cracker Barrel. Not even joking. It was Alex's first time too!

I'm sorry friends, I forgot to take a picture of my monster plate. But I ate it ALL and don't feel guilty one little bit. All in moderation muahaha. It included four slices of whole wheat sourdough French toast loaded up with the buttah, pure maple syrup, and four slices of bacon. NOM. Alex also got the French toast and bacon and Steve got eggs, hams, and a whole stack of pancakes. That was fun, but now I am stuffed and didn't even want to eat breakfast this morning (Don't worry friends, I did!)

Well, there you have it! I had the time of my life and can't wait to go to more shows and even compete myself!

Happy Sunday. Expect a recipe that I previewed a bit earlier before tomorrow!
